Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Merit Scholarships for Leading PhD Programs (MSPP).
The program intends to provide a professional development opportunity to the Bright and Needy Students of Balochistan who have completed MS/MPhil and ready to undertake PhD level STEM studies, Social Sciences or Humanities/Art in top ranking foreign universities for the objective of “Creation of a critical mass of highly qualified professionals in the fields relevant to the development of the province”

Who Can Apply?
- Maximum age of 45 (forty five) years as at the closing date of the advertisement.
- Be a resident of Balochistan having local and domicile of the Province, having permanent and present address of Balochistan in CNIC. Residence certificate from district administration is also required.
- Not less than 60% marks throughout the academic career (Only one second division allowed in career other then MS/MPhil).
- Permanent/regular faculty members of the public sector teaching/ educational institution of Pakistan are not eligible to apply.
- Must have an un-conditional/ Valid offer letter of PhD from any of the top 100 QS ranking universities of the world in the academic session(s) or year following the application call. It is the responsibility of the applicant to meet the admission criteria(s) of the University including the Language Proficiency Test and Visa Process.
- Not have availed any foreign PhD scholarship in the past for any National/ Provincial Program.
- BEEF will conduct the aptitude test for the selection of the scholars.
- Provide references from at least two individuals.
- Applicants must not have any criminal record to be eligible for this program.
Application Process:
- Submission: Complete MSPP Application Form with required documents.
- Screening: Applications review based on academic performance, grading includingaptitude test scores, and interviews.
- Selection: Final recommendations by the selection committee.
Required Documents:
Following documents are required to be submitted along with the application form:
- Attested copy of applicant CNIC.
- Attested copies of all educational testimonials.
- CV/Resume.
- Copy of Un-conditional / Valid admission offer for Ph.D level studies
- Attested copy of Local / Domicile.
- Applicant three passport size photographs (blue back ground).
- Synopsis / Research Proposal
- Statement of Purpose (One page)
- Any other supporting document required to substantiate the facts given in the application form.
- Police Character Certificate (PCC). (It is issued by the District Police Authority (DPA) where you have resided in Balochistan.
- Resident Certificate from the concern district administration.
Note:
- Local/Domcial Students ofBalochistan who secure Ph.D. admissions in tuition-free universities are allowed till QS Top 200 and will be encouraged and supported. Scholarships will be provided based on a rigorous selection and merit-based criteria to ensure that deserving candidates receive the necessary financial assistance.
- Candidates are required to opt foreign countries/universities of their choice in the online application form. BEEF reserves the right to re-allocate any Country/University to the candidate. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews and admission process.
- Candidates are required to make sure that their field of the subject islisted in BEEF Ph.D policy and being offered in their choice of Country/University, otherwise, candidate will not be considered for interview/scholarship.
- Candidates are required to fulfill the requirement of Host University to secure the admission which may include International GRE, TOFEL, etc. Candidates are advised to appear in these tests before the interview/admission.
- Only forms complete in all aspect will be entertained & not availing any other scholarship from any National, Provincial agent or donor.
- If the applicant is unable to secure visa due to embassy issue, security issues or due to admission problems by university etc.his/her scholarship will be canceled.
- Scholarship funds may need to be repaid if the degree is not completed.
